SINGAPORE October 16, 2025 – Today, Bloomberg New Economy unveiled its initial speaker and latest program for the seventh Bloomberg New Economy Forum. Returning to Singapore on November 19-21, 2025, the Forum will examine the prospects for global growth and prosperity as the world comes to terms with a rapidly changing landscape of geopolitical alignments, trade flows, technology disruption and investment priorities.
As Southeast Asia’s commercial and financial capital, Singapore provides a unique vantage point for evaluating the impact of these new and challenging conditions not just regionally but beyond, in the Middle East, Africa, Europe and the Americas.
“Our theme, Thriving in an Age of Extremes, reflects the world we live in today — defined by intensifying rivalries, rapid technological shifts, and fragile multilateral institutions,” said Erik Schatzker, Editorial Director of Bloomberg New Economy. “Amid growing trade tensions and rising barriers to commerce, this year’s Forum will host our first-ever trade ministerial gathering, bringing together global leaders to engage directly on the future of open markets and economic cooperation. This convening in Singapore underscores the reality that lasting global prosperity depends on open dialogue, partnership, and a renewed commitment to multilateralism. And eight years since our inaugural Forum, Bloomberg New Economy delegates remain laser focused on resilience and renewal.”
The mainstage program agenda can be found here and breakout sessions here.
Earlier this month, as part of the lead-up to the Forum, President of the World Bank Group, Ajay Banga, joined a special Bloomberg New Economy breakfast for public and private sector leaders in New York during the U.N. General Assembly and the Bloomberg Global Forum. Led by Erik Schatzker, the group discussion centered on the case for multilateralism and the ‘Global Employment Imperative’.
And held alongside official programming for the U.N. General Assembly in New York, the Bloomberg New Economy Cancer Coalition hosted a high-level gathering of oncologists and health ministers to discuss the lowering of barriers to timely diagnosis and treatment for cancer patients around the world.
